Dog Licensing

To obtain a dog license, bring a current rabies shots certification to City of Red Bluff, Finance Department at 555 Washington Street.

Some City Regulations:

  1. All dogs above the age of six months are required to have their rabies shots and a valid City dog license.
  2. There is a limit of three (3) adult dogs per household. An adult dog is over six months old.
  3. To maintain more than three (3) adult dogs you must apply and receive for a kennel license from the City of Red Bluff.
  4. There is a leash law within the City of Red Bluff. All dogs must be on a leash and restrained at all times.
  5. Stray dogs will be picked up and housed at the shelter. Fees will be charged to retrieve them.

Animal Control

The City of Red Bluff contracts with Tehama County Animal Control for Services at the Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 1830 Walnut Street in Red Bluff. The phone number is (530)527-3439.
