Mayor Flynn called the Red Bluff City Council Special Meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.  and adjourned to a Closed Executive Session.

1.      CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – ANTICIPATED LITIGATION: One potential case. Government Code Section 54956.9

2.      CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL – PENDING LITIGATION: CLAIM NO. 2003015826  - Government Code Section 54956.9

Mayor Flynn called the Special Meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and announced that during the Closed Session staff gave direction to legal counsel.

CURRENT BUSINESS:

RESOLUTION NO. 76-2002; A RESOLUTION DECLARING CANDIDATES ELECTED TO SERVE AS CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS, CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER FOR FOUR YEAR TERMS

M/S/C Avilla, Stevens adopt the Resolution declaring Candidates Elected to serve as City Council Members, City Clerk and City Treasurer for four year terms.  Further that the newly elected City Council Members, City Clerk and City Treasurer be sworn into office and take their places. 

AYES:  Councilmembers:  Avilla, Flynn, Frey, Houghton and Stevens

NOES:  None

ABSENT OR NOT VOTING:  None

ADMINISTRATION OF OATH OF OFFICES

Cheryl Smith, Deputy City Clerk, administered the oath of Office to Councilmembers elect Forrest Flynn and Russ Frey and City Treasurer elect Venita Philbrick.       

There being no further business Mayor Flynn adjourned the meeting at 6:40 p.m. until December 7, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Red Bluff City Council Chambers.
