The City’s Clerks Office is charged with the responsibility for coordinating all Council and Committee meetings, preparation of agendas and minutes for the meetings, coordinating of municipal elections with the Tehama County Clerk’s Office, and carrying out other duties.
The City Clerk also acts as liaison between the public, City Departments and Council, coordinates special events or functions attended by the Council and City staff, maintains ordinances, resolutions, and other records.

Where possible, we have now added supporting documentation, reports, staff memos, etc. for all City Council items. Links to available information have been added to the City Council agenda and may be accessed by clicking on the link indicated by a blue box around the item. (To access the City Council agenda, please click on the Agendas/Minutes item in the frame on the left). In some instances files are too large to download or information is not in electronic format and cannot be included on the website. The hard copies are available for review at City Hall at 555 Washington Street. The official posting location for the Agenda is the cabinet on the south outside wall of City Hall.
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
November 4, 2008
The Nomination period begins July 14th and ends at 5 p.m. on August 8th, 2008. Should an incumbent not submit papers for re-election the deadline is extended to 5 p.m. on August 13, 2008. Nomination papers will be available from the Deputy City Clerk at City Hall, 555 Washington Street.
Two Councilmembers will be elected to terms expiring December 2012. The two 4-year terms expiring are those of incumbent Mayor Forrest Flynn and the appointment incumbent Daniel Irving.
All so being elected this year for 4-year terms are the positions of City Clerk and City Treasurer. This 4-year terms expiring are those of appointed incumbent Donna Gordy (City Treasurer) and appointed incumbent Jo Anna Lopez (City Clerk).
The qualifications at the time that nomination papers are issued are:
- Be a registered voter
- Live within the City Limits of the City of Red Bluff
